Brazil’s Coutinho & Neymar help demolish Argentina
Philippe Coutinho , Neymar, and Paulinho score to beat Argentina 3-0 in their World Cup Group Stage qualifier in Mineirao Stadium on Thursday. This is the same stadium that Brazil fell 7-1 to Germany during their fateful semifinals match at the 2014 World Cup.
Liverpool striker Coutinho scored the best goal of the match with a world class strike after receiving the ball from Neymar. Coutinho returned the favor when he sent a beautiful pass to Neymar that split the defense allowing the Barca striker to tuck the ball home in cool fashion. This was Neymar’s 50th goal for the Brazil national team. Later, Marcelo sent in a curve ball into the danger zone to find Alves who kicked the ball back from near the goal line to find Paulinho who struck the back of the net.
That is now five straight wins for Brazil who sit top of the South American qualifying group. While Messi may be wondering why he came out of international retirement as they chalk up another loss.
