Lewandowski double ends Scotland’s Euro 2016 campaign

Robert Lewandowski’s goal scoring run continues. This time he scores two for his home country Poland and knocks Scotland out of the Euro qualifiers.

Robert Lewandowski is still scoring since his incredible 5 goals in 9 minute rout 17 days ago. Since then he has scored in every game with a double or hat-trick. He has now tallied an amazing 14 goals in only 17 days with his latest exploit being a double for Poland against Scotland in the 2016 Euro qualifiers.

It seemed for most of today’s match that Robert Lewandowski’s goal scoring feat was not going end hopes of Scotland qualifying for Euro 2016. He opened the scoring for Poland but Scotland got one back to draw level. Lewandowski nearly scored another when his tap in went too high and when Scotland scored again, it seemed to spell the end for Lewandowski’s run of victories. But the Polish International scored a late equalizer to end the game in a draw and break Scottish hearts by ending their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016. This is another amazing victory for Lewandowski who has confirmed his status as the most prolific goal scorer in Europe right now.

Has he reached the level of Ronaldo and Messi. The Bayern Munich striker is certainly a Golden Shoe contender and could be in line for a Ballon d’Or nomination too at this rate.
