Robert Lewandowski can’t stop scoring goals
Bayern Munich beat FSV Mainz 3-0 on Sunday in their latest Bundesliga match. Two of the goals were scored by Lewandowski, the same guy who netted five goals in nine minutes last week.
While Lewandowski broke a number of records last week, today’s result sees him break a new record. He is the quickest to reach 100 Bundesliga goals of any foreign player. The Polish captain’s brace also helped keep Bayern’s unbeaten run this season.
Lewandowski headed in his first goal during the second half of the match, then scored another when he beat the keeper. Even though it is early days, the result makes him a serious contender for this years Golden Shoe. He has scored ten goals so far this season, that is two more than Cristiano Ronaldo who is on eight and Lionel Messi who has six.
Thanks to Lewandowski, Bayern Munich are the leaders in Bundesliga on twenty one points which is five points clear of Borussia Dortmund who currently sit in second place on sixteen.
