Ronaldo brace keeps Real Madrid on track for title

Real Madrid 4 Sevilla 1 Ronaldo James

Cristiano Ronaldo netted twice to help Real Madrid to a 4-1 win against Sevilla. They are now two matches away from claiming the Spanish league title.

Real struck first from Nacho’s controversial free-kick, then Ronaldo took a rebound to go 2-0 up. After the break, Sevilla got one back through Stevan Jovetic, but Ronaldo got his second and Toni Kroos scored late in the game. It is Real Madrid’s title to lose. While Barcelona head the Spanish league table, Real Madrid have an important game in hand. Currently, they only need to win against Celta Vigo and Málaga to secure the title. The only way Barcelona can win the title is for Real Madrid to lose one of those matches and for Barcelona to not drop a game.
